Bold and Spacious Loft

As soon as we completed the walk-through for this space, I knew the pressure was on to do it justice. With sky high ceilings paired with exposed brick and beams, we wanted to keep the integrity of the traditional loft feel while throwing in some unexpected elements. The goal was to have an end result that felt equal parts bold and warm, using soft tones and textures with intentional pops of color throughout. An oversized Noguchi pendant and limewash walls juxtaposed next to the exposed brick is the first thing you see when you walk in and sets the tone for the remainder of the space. It’s a home that feels inviting and good when you’re in it with statement talking pieces throughout. There are thousands of ways to make a project beautiful, but what truly makes it special is telling a story that is unique to the client, and I think we did just that.

The luxe rug by Nordic Knots, statement concrete and burl wood coffee table, and Noguchi pendant were used to bring in a more neutral, soft palette to the main living space.

Entryways are crucial parts to any design. This custom art piece from Etsy brings in depth and texture while pairing perfectly with the rattan table lamp.

Limewash walls by Portola Paints in “Leisure” set the tone for the cozy dining area.

The Den that also serves as a playroom was a challenge due to its smaller scale and lack of any natural light. A custom, rust loveseat from Lulu and Georgia and soft, neutral accents brought in much needed warmth to the room. We added some depth and texture using limewash paint in “Dune Shack” by Portola Paints.

The office also serves as a guest room, so we had to get creative and make it as functional and versatile as possible, while not sacrificing the aesthetic. This sleeper sofa from CB2 was the perfect fit.

This textured, grasscloth wallpaper brings in the perfect combination of playfulness and sophistication.

The curved floor lamp by Rejuvenation was the perfect piece to complete the desk area.
